I didnt think DeMarini had changed anything but the paint from last years model, but after my first 50 swings I could tell that was not true. I believe the new 07 model has a larger sweet spot, and seemed to provide more soilid performance then last years model. If your liked the 06 Evo, you'll love the new 07... Just give her about 50-100 swings to start getting broken in, and then sit back and watch the ball fly. The Evo Ax still has a heavier swing weight then a lot of the DeMarini bats, so dont be afraid to go down an ounce from what your used to swinging. I like a 27oz endloaded bat, or a 28oz balanced bat for my swing, and this bat worked out perfectly in the 27oz weight. The new Evo is approved for all associations so dont worry about it not being legal where you play. It has the ASA, NSA & USSSA approved stamps, and is good to go!

One thing you have to remember about the flex patter on the DeMarini composite handle bats, is that the flex will do a lot of the work for you. And you dont need to overswing the bat to get great performance. I noticed when I took a nice smooth swing, the performance was just as good as when I was swinging from my a$$.
