The first thing I noticed about the new M7 ASA, was its not nearly as counter weighted as the previous ASA model of bats from Worth. This bat actually feels like it has some end load to it. We have put about 200 swings on the new M7 ASA, and it’s really starting to heat up. It was a little stiff to start with, but as it breaks in, the performance and sweet spot keep getting better. I think the actual break in time for this bat will be somewhere around 500 hits before it really starts to perform. Even for an only partially broken in bat, this sucker still smokes the ball. The distance of the new M7 ASA isn’t far behind the non ASA bats from other manufacturers. I would say that the new M7 isn’t going to be for everyone, simply because it’s heavier then what most people are used to swinging. The 27oz swung very well for me, but I prefer 27-28oz end loaded bats normally. If you’re looking for a 26oz bat, you are out of luck too. They were un-able to produce a 26oz in the M7 ASA. Maybe they can figure out a way to squeeze a 26oz thru the tight ASA testing standards next year.

For now the M7 will definitely stay in my bag for ASA league or for a second choice when I’m not swinging one of the M7 120’s or Jeff Halls.
