Hey everybody, just found the site and can't tell you how glad I was to find it. My dad and I are looking for a team and I'll try to keep the story short as to our situation.
We both played in a pretty competitive church league and the games were Friday nights. I got a new shift at work that leaves me with Wed and Thurs nights open. Mainly I am looking for a team to join, and my dad would like the opportunity to play on the team with me still.
I am 25, play mostly outfield (all spots but mostly the centerfields or shortfielder) but also play first and second if need be. I batted leadoff the last few years because I am a singles hitter but like to take the extra base and get quite a few triples. I won't say I am an elite runner or anything, but have more speed on the paths than most. Mostly just out there to have fun first. (Although I will admit winning is fun)
My dad would probably prefer I don't list his age bats a very high percentage and is also a contact hitter. He plays 2nd fairly well but will catch if needed. He is fairly quick on the basepath himself. He has played at Riverstar but his team switched leagues and I never really found out from him what leagues they were in.
Anyway, sorry to take so much to say so little. If you have an opening or two on Wed or Thursday night we'd love to play. Not concerned about any real requirements, we both just love playing ball and will be happy to fill about any roll besides pitching...Oh yeah, I live in Mt Healthy if that helps you know if I'm close by to your team or league.
