Please take the Bash as an opportunity to prove yourself and to prove everyone around here wrong. You know what it is going to take to get the fields ready and you know the forecast for the week. Please don't pull a Rivershore. Opportunities like this weekend is what makes a reputation and either brings people back or keeps them away. I am sure that you already know all of this, but surprise us!

I won't be playing at Huddy for the Bash, but I hope they do have the fields prepared just to prove everyone wrong and bring some respect to the park...

Different tourney's depending on weather means different conditions at the park. Harris don't know when you played there to have such a bad experience. But I can say last year the WSL C the fields didn't pose a problem for us. We played early and late games. If the fields are the same conditions as last year two thumbs up as far as I'm concerned that means where playing ball. Any fields ready to play after the last few years means they are busting there tails for us to play!! Give credit when credit due. Why you always got to be so negative? Wish we lived in a perfect world and had the NY Yankees grounds crew down here taken care of things for us.

I was there as well for the E state last year and we didn't have much of a problem. My guess is you didn't do very well and the park was to blame for that.

no, first game of the day I was standing in 8 inch ruts for a batters box, and homeplate was cocked about 30 degrees off and tilted to the side... Saw a handful of people eat **** rounding first base because the peg in the ground wasn't the same size as the hole in the base, so it would turn and wobble.
That was the first time I have ever played there, and hopefully the last.
good onion rings though.

All the times I've played down there, the only gripe I have is the 6 foot hole for a batters box on the field when you walk in. Other than that, I didn't think they were that bad. You aren't gonna get anything even close to Expressway anywhere else in the city. Speaking of that, why doesn't Expressway get in on the tournament??

Huddy is very unorganized when it comes to league's and never played a tournament there so I hope its not the same.

Re-read the post Foulks. I never bashed Huddy or any of my experiences at Huddy. I am saying that others are complaining about Huddy and this would be the perfect stage to prove them all wrong. My only jab was at Rivershore in that post. And I am far from always negative. I always give credit when and where it is due...

I talked to Betty a few years ago about it, she told me that they do not open that early. Their concession, bar, restrooms are all in that center building, NO HEAT, so they do not turn their water on until the end of March, they do not want to take a chance on pipes bursting from freezing.

Huddy's fields were in decent shape last year for the bash. The problem I have is parking, there is no where near enough! Oh well I will still be there! Buy me a beer as well!!

Its cool Mr. Foulks... Don't be so quick to jump in my a$$ ;) I am pulling for Huddy to do a good job. I was thinking about it last night and I can't really say I've had any bad experiences there except a midnight madness tourney and it wasn't Huddy's fault that we were total retards and chose to play during the day and in a midnight madness on the same night!
I read where Foulks said Riverstar already had snow blowers getting the white stuff off the fields over the weekend.... And news on any of the other parks associated with the Bash?

The most recent weather report on weather.com shows rain for Thursday and Friday, with a rain/snow mix for Saturday. Not to knock any complex, but I just don't see how ANYONE will have reasonably playable fields this weekend if the forecast holds true......

As long as there is a thing called Dirt Dry (or whatever its called) we'll be fine... Way to rain on everyones parade... the fields won't be great but we're going to play...

As I see it, The infield will be fine. Field 1 will have some water in the outfield. Field 3 is the worst field up there due to your hitting uphill. The fields overall will be good, Even though the rain and Sleet expected this weekend. We will see what is said Saturday though!
