seems like none of us know anything about the teams we're playing. I know i'd know something about miller and renegades, a lot more than these 3 teams lol

Does anyone know SLH Communications? We are familiar with Trane Softball (played them 1st game 2 years ago in the Bash) and The Mound Cafe, but never played SLH. All I can find is they were in the ASA D/E last year. Thanks

I can't say for certain how good they are this year, but I sued to play league ball against them in Richmond, and they were a fairly solid team. Decent pop, average gloves, we usually beat them, but I've heard that they've made some significant pickups the past year or so since i left, so I can't tell you for certain... at any rate, I'd expect a tough game if it is the team I think it is. (Then again i don't know how good your squad is this year, so I guess what I mean is don't expect it to be some game that you can overlook.)

I know The Mound just lost their first baseman. That is a huge blow to their team. Not only from a playing aspect,( he does have the best hands in the city according to him ) but also from a beer drinking one a well. Does anyone know SLH Communications? Mostly NSA last year... dominated NSA E last year, but I think they only played in a couple USSSA tournaments.. lost a couple players (brothers actually, so no one knows how good they'll be this year)... solid team though... low, flat pitches and if they start hitting that, high arcing pitches.. :) Good luck

Ya this is softball-you dont play for the reds
There are not scouting reports for sale, would you mind telling me what you would do with info on any of the teams if you did get it??
Would you type it up, download photos, print it out, staple it up and pass em out???
I dunno I guess you're just excited to play but it' softball and on top of that it's the first tourney of the year for most teams so even managers cant be completely sure what to expect out of their own guys yet
Its just funny to me seeing everyone on here trying to research the team they play, are you gonna sign a lefty pitcher last minute because their lineup is southpaw heavy??
Are you gonna Intentionally walk someone because of what you read on a message board??
Bottom line, whoever you got-they put their pants on the same way you do so just show up play good ball saturday and take it from there
JMO GOOD LUCK

I'm glad I don't play for the Reds, GO METS!!! haha anyways
I know, that is well said but still...I just like to know who we're playing just because, there is no real reason or scouting report I'm just like that...I always wanna know, I always wanna know in softball, basketball, football everything...It's just how I am, no particular reason...I don't care who we play because no matter who we play, we will be ready to play and will not be scared...Just always curious to know
Thanks for your opinion tho

I don't know much about the team your playing. I know a couple of the guys they picked up, so it must be a throw together team. I know the guy that put the team together just broke his hand, so I'm guessing he is out. The pitcher he got just lost someone in his family, so he is out. They asked me to AH/1B for them, but I was just diagnosed with Bells Palsy, so I'm AH only, or even questionable since I can't see worth crap. But like I said, I think it is just a throw together team of guys that have good attitudes and want to have fun and get some early season swings in.

Thanks. We have a solid team this year but ASA is not our thing, we are mainly playing this just because it is the Bash and no other big tourneys this early in the year. We were going to play in the D NIT but after our first 2 tourneys were rained out we wanted guaranteed games especially since we are missing a few starters Saturday.

I really could care less who we play, just hoping to get this tournament in. I just was wondering what they usually play, we enjoy playing good competition. As far as scouting reports for sale, not a bad idea, I know the majority of teams that have been around more than a couple years, maybe I will start selling scouting reports to save our sponsors some $. LOL
The only time I ever try getting info that we use is for State, Nationals, & World. It never hurts giving your players a heads up where certain players tend to hit, if they have pop or like to drop it in, or maybe if you can expect certain players to "bunt" down to third. In most cases it doesn't really help that much anyways since it IS softball and the ball comes in at 5 mph so most players with any skills at all can hit to more than one spot, but you still play to their tendencies.
As far as signing a lefty, ours relocated to St. Louis so if you know one send him my way, depending if the teams we play are mostly left-handed and do not hit well against a hook. LMAO

That is "average."
You haven't seen our pitcher's special 0 gravity pitch. It comes in at exactly 5 mph & we have never verified that one has ever landed after a batter makes contact. lol
Thanks for the information I will store that with all the other useless info clogging up my brain. lol
Good luck this weekend!
