Wow, we dropped that much after a 2-3 weekend in the C city slam with losses including PRI and Sports Co. Guess that counts for more than the NIT win which included a 5 inning win over Impact (which has a very good team) and a Super Duper win. Dont forget a 7 wins vs 1 loss versus all the teams listed below. Oh well thats the greatness of polls, gets you motivated. Although I will say anyone in the top 10 is a tough game and anyone can beat anyone.

hahahahahahahaha dirty dozen. thought that was a typo but guess now since it was up there again. i think we played them once up pasttime and run ruled them. Pretty funny when their kid used their only homerun on a two run dinger in the first inning when they batted first and everyone on the bench oooooped it. They ended up with three runs total. It was pretty quiet then.

I think he was basing that opinion on the one time WE have seen them. They looked VERY flat against us, and that's the one time 28SS has seen them this year. I've played them a handful of other times this year, and seen that they are capable of alot more than they showed us on Saturday.

Doubt that. You can blame that loss on being flat, but we weren't having our best game either. We were playing solid D, but not hitting. We didn't start hitting in the RR until the last game against OC and put up 20. Unfortunately, we didn't carry that over into Sunday. Our teams have played each other a total of one game, and we won, so to say you would beat us 9 out of 10 is a stretch.

Pretty much why I never claimed that we should be ranked... I was just pointing out the fallacy in saying "this team should be ahead of that one because they beat so and so" I wasn't trying to talk trash, someone else started that game.

I was in NO way complaining about not being in the top 10 of the "polls"....we certainly don't belong based on our Slam performance and the fact that we really haven't played in a whole lot of meaningful tournys. I was just saying that for Renegades6 to say you guys would beat us 9 out of 10 is a bit far fetched.

I really didn't mean to offend anyone. The City Slam is a great event, but it's only one tournament. I'm not going to completely change my opinion of the '08 seasen based on what happened over that 3 day period. Extreme has been the best USSSA D team in the area over the past 2 seasons. You can't move them out of the #1 spot. I'm not bad mouthing the Renegade's by any stretch. I just feel there are other teams that deserve to be ranked higher. I certainly didn't say that my team was one of them. If you go back & read my post, I didn't include us in the conversation at all. It's just one man's opinion. No trash talk, because I don't believe there's place for talking trash & insulting my opponents (I do believe in talking trash to my teammates though!). Good luck to everyone the rest of the season. Maybe at some point we can all be #1 & get a Capri Sun & fruit snacks after the game.

I'm the manager of Cincy Impact and without a doubt Extreme is still the #1 "D" team in the city. They play the game the right way with a strong offense and a defense that does not beat itself. When you play Extreme you will always get their "A" game !!!!

In my opinion Extreme is still #1 also ,but I also think the "D" is very competitive, I dont believe anyone is sandbagging, impact is a very good team with some young guys and a few old guys who are still very good!! we have alot of older players on are team as well that have played up, but we cant compete up anymore, so if you want to continue to play you have to go somewhere thats just the way it goes!! this was done for a reason. we can play very well, but alot of guys cant make it all the time. We have some trouble hitting the ball out in close games and it comes at the worst times. We are only playing in 3 "E" tournys we will be playing up the rest of the year. We will go on our streak before long like everyone does. HOPEFULLY!!

You win one tournament and that makes you the best E team in the city??? You come in 4th in a D tourney and that puts you in the top 5??? Do you even have the slightest grip on reality? Now I'm not saying that we, Diamond Foolz, are the top E team in the city, but we beat you the only time we played. You lost to Dixon Softball and Sibcy Cline. If you are the best team in the city, seems to me you would have beaten, at least one of us.

You guys are a scrappy bunch of guys, and you are an above average E team, that's it. I would not put you in the top 5 in E let alone D!!! Good luck the rest of the year and I hope we run into you again down the road.
