I would guess blowing through most of the tournaments you play in. But in honest truth our team (Syndicate) really think you guys were just the top E team around no point in bumping you guys up for winning tournaments if we want to compete locally at world. This is if you are talking about Huber Lawn

It is b/c you guys dropped from D and showed that you out class the teams in E. I'm not saying that it is fair but that is why. We played you back when you were in E the last time and it was always a good game and fun. I will say that Huber was always a class act.

They tend to keep an eye on teams that place high in World go up 1 season and are not outclassed, and then drop the following year. Don't think playing E would have been a big deal had the roster turned over and had you not run through the tournaments you played in.

Detroit Squeeze got bumped and hadn't finished as high in as many tournaments as you all. That proves it isn't a local thing, U-trip is trying to get a handle on sanctioning, at least in the Great Lakes Region.

so then legit d teams that are doin pretty good should get bumped up to c right??? and if im not mistaken outta the 2 tournies we won we got beat our 1st game in both of those... anybody can win tournaments if u get on a roll

You are talking about losing a game in 2 of the 4 tourneys you played? Doing good is one thing but running thru tournaments is another.

Sure anyone can get hot and win a tournament but I am guessing that they are looking at the fact you have won the three tournaments on the U-trip site. One of which you placed higher than a solid C team (not sure you beat them but know you finished higher than them in a round robin C qualifier correct me if I am wrong).

Locally, Dirty Birds got bumped without winning a D tournament to C because of the controversial player list. At least there is some logic behind bumping Huber. Just saying that you aren't the exception to the rule, there are others getting bumped including a team from Michigan that finished lower than you in the first world qualifier at Riverstar.

I think people cry too much about getting moved up in class. Isn't the goal of a team to get better and move up to better competition? Why would you want to stay in E? Take it as a compliment that people think you are good enough to play with D teams and compete.

Its like saying a major league baseball player is going to get mad for getting called up to Double A from Single A...Makes no sense

when a team gets bumped up, appeals it, keeps the same roster and runs through 4 tournaments without breaking a sweat, then yes... they should be bumped up... probably should have never been appealed down in the first place. I don't think there are any D teams in the area that have the same resume for the year...

I think "E" is a good place to start for young teams, it let's them get their feet wet in the area of competitive tournament softball. That being said, after a season or two, it's time to get pushed from the nest!It helps the Sport grow, and it keeps the new teams from being discouraged from being pounded on by "Veteran E Teams". This is not what this division of play is intended for.

While it sucks to get bumped in the middle of the year, that's a risk you take when you appeal to play down a level. It's always fun playing you guys, great bunch of people on the team and always a tough game. I am sure we will still see you around trying to earn some double points as soon as we get all these damn kids out of school!

I don't think they had to appeal, they played one year of D and dropped this year.

Huber you will do good in D. You are a solid team.

Yeah, they'll win their share in D. They always gave us a great game and put a clinic on for us.

It should start at the top, not the bottom. These same veteran "E" teams with a few exceptions would not be competitive against veteran "D" teams that have also not moved up after a few seasons. We haven't play Huber this year so I can't speak to their situation but am talking about the concept as a whole

I have a question, does Huber now automatically recieve a D world berth since they where forced up? Just did not know how that works, it would seem a little crappy for them not to get to go to world since they already qualified.

slamit93

I don't think so... I'm pretty sure if you bump down you lose all of your points, but maybe it's different getting forced up...

Fat bats seemed to keep all of their points and have dropped... should they lose their points when they dropped... just curious...

maybe I'm thinking of a different sanction... hmmm...

LittleLeager24

I would think that would be unfair to take there points away due to the money they put out to play in those tournaments. They should keep there berth just become a D world berth. It would be unfair to take away what they have won just because they got bumped.

Detroit Squeeze also got bumped from E to D

well i mean im not bitchin about having to play d myself i think its better for us... we was just trying to make a run at worlds and most teams b,c,d,e that have a shot at winning worlds are usually borderline to play up in whatever rank they are..... but i mean we collected almost 1400 dollars and got our berths and everything i just dont think its fair to lose all of that after u shelled out alot of money to play in those tournies
