why is almost every spread someone opens mentioning DIRTY DOZEN. from what everyone is saying that team is a young group of kids who are out here competing with grown men in softball who have been around for years. I heard they like to talk but who doesn't. these kids used to be a part of TBI and loved to talk blow whistles and make noise. They hit the **** out of the ball and have a solid defense from what i seen. It's amazing how these youngins are playing but everyone is out here HATIN because they supposively finished 4th in the d city slam and then won the e city slam. no need to get down and talk about these guys or say that their bats are shaved because lil 17 year old kids are hittin bombs against you. these kids have only been in the game 2 years and finished 2nd in the metro last year in their division i understand. and if these kids stick together and continue to tune the haters out here soon they will be a hard team to beat. dirty dozen you guys deserve to give it up, and need to be shown some respect instead of all these teams out here being haters so congrats guys and continue to kick ass. im glad to see young boys out here playing softball instead of out on the streets or drugged up somewhere so with all this said let dirty dozen be and keep playing ball

It is nice to see a young team starting from scratch making some noise. That being said, they have to show respect to recieve it in return. I understand they are young and they get fired up when they play, and thats good, they just need to put that energy toward continuing to get better and build their team.Don't worry so much about bumping gums with the teams they are playing, it takes your focus off what you are there to do......Win a ballgame!
Good Luck Guys!

Because someone/people keep getting on here wasting our time talking about this team. Here is what i've noticed. 1 every time someone speaks well of them its from someone who just created a name. 2 Everyone says they don't know them, but they seem to know everything about a team who NOONE knew about 10 days ago. 3 In every "positive" post about this team the common themes seem to be "haters" or "respect" or "youngins" or other garbage like that. Frankly i'm BORED with it, so good luck to them the rest of the year. Respect is EARNED over a period of TIME. Look at ALL the "respected" teams around this area. They have played GREAT ball over a LONG period of time, not GOOD ball over a 10 day span. JMO

Why are kids playing softball and not BASEBALL? I've never seen this team, but if I was young enough to be playing baseball there would not be much of a choice between the two.

who you play for we could have a cash game home runs or not we are the best e team and top 5 in the d period haters haters haters oooooooooooooooooohh!!!
Do I really need to say anything? The DD team is descent(sp) team. I like majority of the team. A 17 year old hit about a 350 foot bomb off me. Great job. Here is my question, Why are these so called great athletes already playing softball? Why aren't they playing baseball? Maybe that's the problem. Playing organised sports teaches you respect and fundamentals. This team is definately lacking both of those. So we aren't all out to get the DD team, we just aren't impressed with the whole package. Like they think we should be........

I have played against this team and saw them play this year both times it was nothing but disrespect from the players and fans toward the opponents and the opponents fans. Against Skyhawks they threw a runner out at home and the catcher jumped up threw the ball down then got in the runners face and said "I dont think so" and after the game one of the 12-14 year old kids walked on the field looked at the coach from Skyhawks and said Scorecheck B***H. That is the most disrespectful team I have ever seen play in the 10 years I have been around the game. The worst part of it all is that the veteran players encourage the behavior. They need to shut their mouths play ball and the respect will come but if they keep up their current attitude they will just be known as a classless team that nobody will respect.

1. I'd say there's about a 98% chance you're somehow affiliated with this team. Nothing like hyping your own squad on a message board.
2. You have a total of 2 posts. I'd say there's a 99% chance that you signed up just to talk up this team.
3. They're an E team, no one cares. I play for an E team and I know I don't care. Before you jump to any conclusions, we've never played them and I'd never heard of them until I read about them on here.
4. It's called the English language. Learn it, use it, and please do us all a favor by applying it.

He promised WEBN, I expected to get the equivalent of a Reds victory, and I have been supplied with what amounts to some one eyed redneck trailor park version of the 4th! LOL

There's nothing wrong with some friendly jawwing during a game. Just leave it on field. When the game's over, the trash talk should be over too. Just keep it in fun & don't cross "the line". I think the issue here is that some people don't where "the line" is & wouldn't recognize it if they saw it. For example, if you feel the need to punch somebody while talking trash, "the line" has probably been crossed. If you've ever been punched while talking trash, "the line" has probably been crossed. It's all about class. Win with class & lose with class. We're trying to have a civilization here.

Well said. On the field trash talking does not bother me. Sometimes folks take it too far, but for the most part it can be tamed. I have a problem with involving fans. There are many fans who bring it on themselves. For that, they may deserve a little lip service. But, for anyone to take the "game" into the stands for no reason. I have a HUGE problem with that!

I'll tell you what........you better respect the team that allows you to write this stuff and stir the pot. If you don't, you'll soon be talking your garbage elsewhere.
Regarding not giving respect until you get respect...........I'll give you a prime example of how that doesn't work. Bret Kostoff. Several years ago, Bret ran his mouth much like you DD boys do, but in a different way. Everybody in the softball world of Cincinnati couldn't stand the guy. Since then, he has come a long way to get the respect he has now. I'm sure he'll be the first to tell you that. So, if you want to go through several years of torment before you can be "acknowledged" as a Cincinnati softball player or team, you'd better wise up and think about what you're doing first. Bret has done a lot to earn his respect. I don't see any of you guys even coming close to trying to do that.
Just keep that in mind.

Most of us have started in the lower divisions and worked our way up.
I have a great deal of respect for those divisions. I hesitate to say "lower" divisions, because, that assumes inferior. Many times all that seperates an idividual from playing in one division or the other is who you know! There are plenty of individual players that could play on higher division team that play in the "E" or "D".

THIS IS SO FUNNY TO ME. THESE YOUNG MEN CAME IN AND BEAT SOME GOOD TEAMS, WON A THE CITY SLAM WHICH ALOT OF PEOPLE CAN'T SAY HAVE AND WE GOT GROWN MEN CALLING THEM OUT LOL. YES OF COURSE WE ALL KNOW THEY LIKE TO TALK BUT AT LEAST THEY BACKING IT UP. THERE HAVE BEEN TEAMS LIKE TBI,GUIDOS,EASTEND,MFAB,BACKSTABBERS AND MORE TEAMS WHO LIKE TO TALK WHEN PLAYING AND I DONT SEE ALL THE HATING GOING ON WITH THESE TEAMS. SEEMS TO ME WE GOT GROWN MEN HATING ON THE KIDS AND DON'T GIVE ME THAT THEY TALK TO MUCH BECAUSE IF YOU TALKING AND WINNING SO WHAT! DD KEEP DOING YOUR THING AND DON'T BACK DOWN FROM NOBODY!
first of all young men show respect and not just to the top 5 or 6 teams in the city. If you are actually reading these threads and then posting then you are definitely afilliated with dd somehow and I don't care or believe you when you reply and say your not just like the person who started this thread that just so happens to be a brand new user name. Go back to the 2nd page or so where the dirty dozen user name clearly states that they dont have respect for other teams because they dont have respect for them. Just about every person and team other than affiliates will tell you and have said you earn respect but playing well which they have done, respecting all teams even if you are way better them. If you beat a team in 30 minutes and your not getting out of control on smack talking can't you understand how much more respect that gets your team. Oh yeah and eastend, mfab and all those other teams you listed as smack talkers don't bring hoodrat cheerleaders that get more annoying and talk more sh!t than the people playing the game. There is no need to post anymore about getting respect you are not going to any respect from most people involved in softball until your team or that team grows up and learns what humble pie is

This is exactly my point. Here you are checking the messageboard every 2 minutes just to see someone talking about your team. Good thread about dd and your probably telling your mommy to come check and see what this person says about your team. Bad thread and now you get to do some smack talking since leagues got rained out. I am posting this like others b/c I don't at all mind younger guys winning tourneys as a matter fact I would rather see a group of humble 18 yr olds win tourneys than any other team in the city but not only is all the extracaricular jaw japping hurting the integrity of the game but your also teaching it to the next generation that sits on your bench every game and that is the worst part about all this. Also think about some of the things people are saying about your team and ask your team how you want to be talked about. There is a lot of good things to say about your team it is just hard to say any of that when every team that plays you guys say the same things over and over. Just do your team a favor and talk to kostoff and try to earn some respect back. I know you say you don't care if anyone has respect for you guys but give me a break, I mean one day you guys are gonna grow up and realize that all this is so immature. One day you will know what I mean I truely hope it isn't too late.

I would expect someone from TBI to stick up for Dirty Dozen since they seem to be friends. The teams I play for are listed everytime I post along with my name. I give props to anyone that wins a big tourny including DD but I have no respect for them or their fans because in my opinion they have not earned any by the way they act.
