2008 USSSA Church Ohio State Championships

Team Classifications: Men’s Major/Competitve (A/B) (4 HR); Men’s Recreationally Competitive (C) (1 HR); Church Co-ed (1 HR)
Tournament Format: 4-game minimum – final format determined after entries are finalized.
Entry Fee & Procedure for Entry: $195.00. To enter, teams must complete the enclosed Tournament Entry form. Deadline for these entries is Wednesday, June 18. Entry form with Certified check, Church check, Money order, or cash may be sent directly to the Tournament Director(s). Make checks out to “USSSA.” Mail to:

Beavercreek, Ohio 45434 Game Times: Teams may call for game times starting at 9:00 pm, Thursday, June 19th. Call (937) 429-1046 - Terry will be on the other end. In order to complete this event in one day and depending upon the total number of entries, games may start as early as 8am Saturday morning.
Awards: We will award first thru third place Sponsor Awards and First and Second place Individual awards. TANEL 360® merchandise will form a portion of the awards’ package. “State Champion” patches to top finishers in each division of play. Most Valuable Player award will be awarded. In addition, All -Tournament selections will be made. Special skills contests will also be held, Home run and speed.
Rosters: "Any player of a Church Team that is competing in a State, Area, National, or World Tournament that are considered exclusive Church tournaments must be active participants in the worship services of the Church for which he is playing.” Each individual Church Pastor defines the acceptable level of worship participation, however, State Directors or State Church Directors may contact the church pastor or church official who signs the roster to verify roster.
Berths: Church USSA Great Lakes National berths (one B/one C) will be paid if min. of 12 teams enter per division. All participating teams qualify for Nationals, to be held July 18 at Kettering Fields.
Softballs: Softballs for this USSSA Championship event will be USSSA-approved blue stitch softballs supplied by Worth Sports Co., an official tournament sponsor. The Worth softball is the Official Softball of Ohio USSSA.
